On the direction of Punjab Government to change Thana Culture, timely & free registration of cognizable offence and to get the citizen feed back Inspector General of Police Punjab; Javed Iqbal has established “Punjab Police Citizen Feed Back Cell” across the province.
According to details, Addl. IG Investigation Punjab will be the head of this cell while Gohar Nafees will be the SSP monitoring of the cell. He will also be the focal person for the same.
CCPO Lahore, all RPOs, CPOs and DPOs will establish their own Citizen Feed Back Cells in their respective offices which will directly work under their supervision.
According to procedure, Regional and District heads would contact to any complainant randomly to get their feed back from the daily dairies of 15 wireless log and FIR records of property & cattle theft cases. Strict departmental action would be taken against those police officials who were involved in delay of getting FIR done and rough behavior with the complainant.
Similarly, all district police officers also directed to furnish their feed back reports in every first week of the month in provincial Citizen Feed Back Cell at Police Headquarters, Punjab. Addl. IG Investigation will be authorized to contact any citizen among these reports randomly. In case of any negative feed back from the complainant the respective police officers/officials will face the music.
