IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan takes action on incident of torture on a woman arrested in the case of Dacoity in police station at Kasur.
The lady constable and police employee involved in the incident have been dismissed from service.

Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has expressed anger over incident of torture against a woman detained in Kasur and ordered dismissal of lady constable and police official involved in the incident. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that violence and torture in police custody or any violation of basic human rights are not acceptable and black sheep involved in such incidents are being removed from department under zero tolerance.
After receiving the initial report of the incident, IG Punjab issued orders to suspend relevant DSP and SHO. IG Punjab had called an emergency meeting at CPO this morning and expressed his anger over the incident. IG Punjab directed RPO Sheikhupura to undertake the inquiry of case under his supervision and take departmental and legal action. He further said that medical facilities should also be provided to the affected woman.
