IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan held orderly room of DSPs at Central Police Office.
Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that black sheep involved in non-professionalism, abuse of power and corruption have no place in police department. Officers and Officials found in such irregularities will be removed from department under internal accountability. He said that action would be taken against any officer or official who was found to be involved in professional negligence or any other illegal activity.
Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that while rewards for duty, bravery and honesty are given in the police force, immediate action is also ensured against those who are negligent, corrupt and power abuser. He expressed these views while issuing punishment orders to the officers during a DSP's Orderly Room held at the Central Police Office here today.
IG Punjab personally heard explanations from 5 DSPs who were suspended for various complaints and irregularities during the Orderly Room. After a detailed review of inquiry reports, he issued orders of punishments. According to details, IG Punjab dismissed two DSPs from the department, one DSP was forcibly retired, one for regular inquiry and show cause of one DSP was closed to office. DSP Traffic Khanewal Naeem Abbas dismissed for exceeding authority, corruption and irregularities in issuance of driving licence. DSP Rojhan, Rajanpur, Kaiwan Karim Abbasi was dismissed for intentional negligence and irregularities in investigation matters. DSP CIA Hafizabad, Khalid Mehmood Dar was forcibly retired due to negligence of duty. Regular inquiry orders were issued against DSP, Bangla Achha, Rajanpur, Syed Ijaz Hussain Bukhari while DSP, Bhakkar, Nasir Nawaz's show cause was ordered to be closed to office. IG Punjab provided ample opportunity to the DSPs to present their position before issuing orders. The IG Punjab said on the occasion that I have already made it clear that in my view, suspension is not a punishment and whoever officer or official was found in trespassing of authority or any illegal activity will not be spared because such persons bring disgrace to department by their words and deeds.
