IG Punjab visits ASI Akbar and Constable Ghulam Rasool homes in Kasur and Chunian who got martyred during violent protests of banned organization.

The martyrs were paid homage for their sacrifices and Fateha was offered for their higher ranks.

IG Punjab along with Chief Secretary Punjab paid a visit to Mayo Hospital to enquire after injured officers and personnel.

No effort should be spared for welfare of martyred and injured officers and personnel.  IG Punjab.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan visited Mayo and General Hospitals for enquiring after injured officers and officials and also paid a visit to homes of Constable Ghulam Rasol and ASI Muhammad Akbar at Kasur and Chunian for offering Fateha for higher ranks of martyrs. Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal also accompanied IGP during visit of hospitals. IG Punjab lauded the patriotic spirit of the injured officers and personnel and said that police department as well as the whole nation is proud of you for your firmness and dutifulness.  IGP Punjab visited Kasur and Chunian for offering Fateha to the families of ASI Muhammad Akbar and Constable Ghulam Rasool .While talking to heirs of martyrs, IGP said that sacrifices of martyrs are valuable asset of department and every officer and personnel of Punjab Police will not spare any moment for sacrificing their lives in order to maintain law and order.  He said that sacrifices of martyrs like ASI Muhammad Akbar and Constable Ghulam Rasool reflect the fact that to ensure supremacy of law and order & writ of the state is top priority of Punjab Police and officers and personnel are alert round the clock for undertaking sacred mission without any fear.

Moreover, Mr Rao said that, being a Chief of Punjab Police, best welfare of martyr’s families and provision of every possible medical facility to injured officers and personnel is one of my priorities. Talking to the mother and children of Constable Ghulam Rasool Shaheed and daughter and brother of ASI Akbar Shaheed, he said that everyone has to die one day but status of martyrdom is bestowed upon lucky persons by Allah Almighty. IGP said that it has been said by Allah Almighty that Martyr is alive, don’t call him dead. He said that the martyrs not only laid down their lives while serving state and nation but also set a precedent for others. He said that you should also follow their footsteps for progress of country.  The educational expenses of children of martyrs will be paid by the department and Shaheed package will be provided to their families, he added.

He expressed these views while talking to the families of martyrs during his visit to homes of Constable Ghulam Rasool in Kot Rukn-ud-Din Kasur and ASI Muhammad Akbar in Chunian today.  DPO Kasur Imran Kishwar and other officers were also present on the occasion.

IGP Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan visited Mayo and General Hospitals and enquired after many injured personnel including DSP Ali Ahmed and Inspector Zaheer ud Din Babar who got injured during violent protests of banned outfit.  

He asked the doctors about recovery of injured officers and personnel and directed to take every possible step for provision of best medical facilities to them. On this occasion, CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar and other officers were also present.
