IG Punjab takes palusible step to address problems of citizens and eradicate culture of red tapism.

DIG IT briefed about  working of “Punjab Police Office Management System” to all units and branches.

Official correspondence from the Central Police Office with regions and districts will be done by  this modern program.

Determining the cause of delays in officials matters is an important feature of this system.  DIG IT Waqas Nazir.

As per directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan, a special training session was organized on the working of modern “Office Management System” of Punjab Police.

DIG IT Waqas Nazir while briefing officers about modus operandi and official matters of "Punjab Police Office Management System" said that it is  a modern paperless working system in line with modern working standard which has been designed for timely execution of officials matters and convenience of citizens.  He said that in the first phase, official correspondence from the Central Police Office with regions, units and districts would be done through this modern program and identifying those responsible for delays in the conduct of government affairs is an important feature of the said system.

He added that, with the implementation of modern paperless system, letters, files and other official documents would reach the concerned officers in time  which would further speed up the decision making process on public issues and office matters.  It will also save  both time and money, DIG IT added. He briefed the officers on the operations and working of  "Office Management System". The officers termed the Punjab Police Office Management System as a good addition to police working and said that effective use of information technology would lead to further improvement in public service delivery which is a good initiative of the IT wing of Punjab Police.  On this occasion Additional IG Welfare and Finance, Farooq Mazhar, DIG Training, Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana, DIG PHP, Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Investigation, Sharaq Kamal Siddiqui, AIG Training, Ali  Nasir Rizvi and AIG Finance, Ghazi Salahuddin alongwith other officers were present and  various officers from regions, units and districts participated through video link.
