IG Punjab orders to fill vacant seats in PHP through Promotion Board in September this year.

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani regarding promotion of ASIs in Punjab Highway Patrol in which IG Punjab has directed to fill the vacant seats in PHP in September this year. He said Addl IGP PHP should take all possible steps to convene a meeting of Promotion Board as soon as possible. IG Punjab further said that timely departmental promotion is the basic right of police officers and personnel working in every field therefore promotion board should be held regularly so that officers and personnel eligible for promotion according to merit and seniority should be given their right without delay.
Giving a briefing on the occasion, Additional IGP PHP Muhammad Akram Naeem Bharoka said that a working paper is being prepared for the promotion of 100 vacant posts of sub-inspectors in PHP and promotion board for the promotion of PHP personnel shall be held in month of September. He further said that those who meet the criteria of merit and seniority would be promoted this month at any cost. Additional IGP PHP Muhammad Akram Naeem Bharoka and other PHP officers were also present in the meeting while promotion board meetings and seniority lists were discussed in detail.
