On the direction of IG Punjab, intensified operations against anti-social elements continued in the province.
Dera Ghazi Khan police recovered 174 bullets including 08 Kalashnikovs, 36 pistols, 01 revolver and 04 carbines in 50 cases of illegal arms during the last 30 days.
In the anti-drug operation, 77.255 kg of charas, 2086 liters of alcohol, 5.450 kg hemp (Bhung) , 1.200 kg of opium and 3 kg of ice(crystal meth) were recovered.
The dacoits and thieves were arrested and stolen property worth Rs. 725,200 was recovered and handed over to the rightful owners.
On the orders of IG Punjab Inam Ghani, expeditious operations are being carried out in all the districts of the province to improve the process of protection of life and property of the people so that law and order can be improved. In this regard, Dera Ghazi Khan Police under the leadership of DPO Omar Saeed Malik is fighting against anti-social elements day and night. Eighteen district police stations have arrested a total of 52 proclaimed offenders and other accused involved in various crimes and recovered drugs and illegal weapons. Regarding the details of police operations, DPO Omar Saeed Malik said that district police arrested dacoits and thieves and recovered stolen goods worth Rs. 725,200. In 50 cases of illegal weapons, 174 bullets including 08 Kalashnikovs, 36 pistols, 01 revolver, 04 carbines were recovered. Regarding the ongoing drug eradication operations, the DPO said that police recovered 77.255 kg of hashish (chars) 2086 liters of liquor, 239 bottles, 5.450 kg of hemp, 1.200 kg of opium and 3 kg of ice(crystal meth) from the possession of the accused. Apart from this, 05 cases of gambling were registered in the district and Rs. 36250 was recovered. DPO Omar Saeed Malik added that full-scale operations against anti-social elements would continue. The district police is fully alert for the discharge of its duties. The people should consider the police as their protectors and helpers and immediately inform the concerned police about the presence of suspicious persons around them. Inshallah, using all available resources to protect the lives and property of the people no sacrifice shall be spared.
