Condolence reference for the demise of former IG Punjab Police Muhammad Abbas Khan was held a central Police Office.
Other officers including IG Punjab paid tributes to Muhammad Abbas Khan for his services to Punjab Police.
Former IG Muhammad Abbas Khan enhanced the prestige of the post of IG Punjab with his vision and policy.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani has said that Punjab Police is like a family whose joys and sorrows are shared and when a family member dies, the whole family feels the grief of his loss because these officers are not only remain side by side in their professional career but they are also closely related during the ups and downs of life. He further said that former IG Punjab Muhammad Abbas Khan was a very capable, dutiful and honest officer of Pakistan Police Service who as an excellent commander not only guided the junior officers but also took all possible steps to enhance the efficiency of the police force. He further said that the personality of Muhammad Abbas Khan is a role model for all the officers of Pakistan Police as he enhanced the prestige of the post of IG Punjab with his vision and policy. He further said that the office of IG Punjab would be proud that an officer like Muhammad Abbas Khan had rendered services here. He expressed these views while addressing a condolence reference held at the Central Police Office here today. The condolence reference was held in memory of former Punjab Police Chief Muhammad Abbas Khan who passed away in Peshawar, which was also attended by all officers and personnel of the Central Police Office.
In the reference, Additional IG Establishment Azhar Hameed Khokhar while expressing his views said that the personality of IG (retd) Muhammad Abbas Khan was his own example and his personality and working style are still remembered by the people of Police Service. Additional IG Training Kanwar Shah Rukh said that in his entire career he had never seen a graceful police officer like Muhammad Abbas Khan and he never compromised on his principles. Additional IG Farooq Mazhar said that Muhammad Abbas Khan was second to none in providing excellent training and guidance to the junior officers while DIG Jawad Ahmed Dogar while expressing best wishes for the elevation of Muhammad Abbas Khan said that the during his professional career, he has tried to adopt the qualities of Muhammad Abbas Khan. Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan and other officers remembered memories of the deceased and also paid homage to him.
On this occasion, Fateha was offered for higher ranks of Retired IGP Muhammad Abbas Khan and other deceased police officers and officials.
