Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin, while addressing a special meeting at his office on Friday, said the motorists were facing hurdles in this regards owing to various factors for which the date was being extended.
“One-window operation is successfully underway whereas the citizens are enjoying the facilities being provided by the traffic police,” he added. The CTO further said that traffic licenses are being renewed within minutes, so this was the moral and official obligation of the motorists to visit the traffic offices concerned and obtain their new licences.
He further said learner permits were issued to the candidates for 42 days after which they were requested to appear for driving tests. “The Education Units of the Capital City Traffic Police are busy in imparting necessary lectures to the general public, especially students, and creating awareness regarding traffic rules and regulations,” he remarked. Syed Ahmed Mobin also appreciated the performance of senior traffic wardens and circle in-charges and further advised them to discharge their duties with honesty and professional zeal.
