Two women trading counterfeit currency held

GUJRAT: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a gang of women allegedly involved in doing the business of counterfeit currency.

Lorry Adda Station House Officer Inspector Rana Aamir Saeed said District Police Officer Umar Salamat had tasked him with arresting the gang allegedly involved in fake currency business.

He said a team arrested two women, Iram and Ridda, residents of Dhaunkal area of Wazirabad, and recovered counterfeit currency worth Rs600,000 from the suspects.

Police have registered a case against the women.
