Lodhran Police held 240 wanted criminals, 22 court absconders in Oct

On the directives of Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Inam Ghani, operations against anti-social elements are in full swing across the province. Whereas crackdown on proclaimed offenders, illegal arms and drug dealers and dacoit gangs has been intensified.
In this regard, the Lodhran District Police under the leadership of District Police Officer Syed Karar Hussain has taken emergency measures during the last one month and achieved significant successes against criminals involved in murder, dacoity and other serious crimes.
DPO Syed Karar Hussain said that 20 A-category, 220 B-category, 22 court absconders, 10 A-category target offenders, 31 B-category and 245 C-category accused were arrested while cordoning off those involved in serious crimes.
While registering 32 cases of illegal arms, 32 accused were arrested from whose possession 24 pistols, 03 Kalashnikovs, 02 guns, 02 rifles, 03 knives and 85 bullets were recovered. Likewise,in action against drugs dealers , 83 cases have been registered and 20 kg 400 gram chars ,260 liter lehn ,1274 liter wine ,05 working alcohol manufacturing kilns have been seized and 83 criminals have been arrested in this regard. Lodhran police, using their professional skills and resources, arrested 35 members of 14 gangs and recovered stolen goods worth Rs. 67 lacs 74 thousand 500 rupees from the criminals and handed over to real owners.
Also 02 cases of price control, 02 cases of tenancy, 62 cases of over speeding, 16 cases of gas refilling, 17 cases of LPG vehicles, 01 case of fake number plate, 15 cases of loudspeaker, 78 cases of electricity theft. , 08 cases of gambling and 04 cases of sale of open petrol, 02 cases of cheating in examination, 01 case against Child Labor Act, 01 case against interest, 04 cases of aerial firing were registered. DPO Syed Karar Hussain while talking said that the convenience of the citizens is being given priority during the operations during anti-social elements so that the sense of security among the people is further enhanced and they consider the police as their helper. “It is our duty to provide justice to the people and ensure protection of life and property. The police are fully mobilized against crime, oppression and social evils and have enacted a law on community policing to make the district crime free,” he added. The rule of law is being maintained. He further said that crackdown against social elements will continue on daily basis to ensure safety of life and property of the citizens.
