Vehari police arrested 234 notorious criminals, 209 drug dealers and 126 illegal arms dealers during the last month.

Trace 212 cases of property crime and arrested 19 members of 7 gangs and recovered more than 82 lacs 34 thousand  rupees.

Monitoring and inspection of security arrangements at sensitive installations, educational institutions, religious and public places and minority places of worship should be continued.  IG Punjab

On the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani, crackdown on anti-social elements is continued on across the province, especially crackdown on notorious criminals, illegal arms, drug dealers and kite sellers has been intensified.  In this regard, Vehari Police under the leadership of District Police Officer Ehsanullah Chauhan took emergency measures for the arrest of anti-social elements during the last one month and achieved significant successes against criminal elements. Arrest of wanted criminals in serious cases in a campaign initiated by police teams against accused involved in heniou crimes of murder ,robbery ,dacoity and other such crimes.  Durin the operation, police teams arrested 234 notorious criminals involved in serious incidents including murder, robbery and robbery including 27 A category and 207 B category. During this period, Vehari police cracked down on crime  after tracing 212 cases of property, they recovered property worth Rs. 58.60 lakhs while 19 members of 07 gangs were arrested and more than Rs. 23 lakhs 74 thousand  were recovered.  In addition, during the operation against criminals, 128 suspects were arrested and heavy weapons were recovered from their possession including 02 Kalashnikovs, 17 guns, 06 rifles, 95 pistols, 04 revolvers, 04 carbines and hundreds of bullets. Action against anti-social elements , 209 cases were registered in which 210 accused were arrested and 41 kg of hashish, 2019 liters of liquor with lahan, 9.5 kg of opium, 21 kilns and distillery were recovered from their possession. Implementing the National Action Plan  46 cases were registered out of which 19 cases were registered for violation of Loudspeaker Act, 23 cases for violation of Tenancy Act, 1 case of Wall Chalking and 3 cases of violation of Security Ordinance.  During the proceedings in different police stations of Vehari , 24 cases against fireworks, 255 cases of over speeding, 43 cases of electricity theft, 02 cases of price control, 11 cases of Gambling Act were registered besides 24 cases of illegal petrol agencies and illegal refilling of gas were also registered.  52 cases were registered against violation of rules with respect to smog. DPO Vehari  Ehsanullah Chauhan said that the convenience of the citizens is being given priority during the operations during anti-social elements so that the sense of security among the people is more prominent and they consider the police as their helper.  He further said that crackdown against proclaimed offenders , robbers, drug dealers and criminal elements would continue on a daily basis to ensure safety of life and property of the citizens.
