AIG South Punjab orders massive crackdown to control crime (14.10.2020)

Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Captain R Zafar Iqbal Awan (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) has said that full crackdown orders have been issued to the field force to control crime in South Punjab.  A special operation launched in all the districts this month which yielded positive results. Capt.r  Zafar Iqbal clarified that there is no concession for the police personnel who will involved in immorality and obstruction of justice.

He expressed these views while addressing police officers and various delegations of citizens on the occasion of his visit to Bahawalpur Range yesterday. Earlier, on arrival at Bahawalpur, Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab was received by RPO Bahawalpur Zubair Ahmed Dareshk and DPO Bahawalpur.

 Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Capt. R. Zafar Iqbal further said that the Punjab government has set up an Additional IG South Punjab office to solve the problems of the people at their doorsteps which will benefit the police personnel along with the general public.  He said that he would make frequent visits to Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan ranges and would also conduct unannounced inspections of police stations while resolving public grievances on the spot. Capt. Zafar Iqbal further said that police officers should go out in the field and increase public contact. He said that every young police officer is an ambassador of the department and all possible steps would be taken for his welfare. Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Capt. R. Zafar Iqbal later called on RPO Zubair.  Accompanied by Ahmed Dareshk, he also inspected the mourning processions of Chehlum and takes a briefing on security arrangements.
