Safety equipments for prevention of Corona have been provided to force deputed for security of Majalis and processions.
22548 surgical masks, 16950 gloves, 13300 coverall gowns, 1795 liter sanitizers and 2050 goggles have been provided.

LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab Shoaib Dastgir said that the process of timely provision of safety items and implementation of SOPs must be continued for prevention of officers and officials deputed on security duty from Corona so that police force may perform the duties of safety of mourners in Majalis, mourning processions and other processions of muharram with full diligence, hard work, commitment and spirit of faith. He further said that district police heads must ensure that safety equipments from central police office COvid - 19 has been provided to officers and officials deputed on security on time and without any delay and also send a report in this regard. As per direction of Addl IG welfare and finance, a letter with respect to distribution of safety equipments has been sent to ccpo lahore, all City police officers and dpos In which instructions have been given regarding sent safety equipments like surgical masks, surgical gloves, coverall gowns, hand sanitizers and goggles.
According to the letter, during muharram, following safety equipments have been provided in all districts overall 13300 gowns, 22548 surgical masks and 16950 surgical gloves, 1795 liter sanitizers and 2050 goggles have been provided.
According to the details,in big districts like lahore, rawalpindi, faisalabad, multan and gujranwala, 800 coverall gowns whereas in rest of the districts 300 coverall gowns each district have been provided. Likewise lahore, rawalpindi, gujranwala, multan and in faisalabad have been give 600 surgical gloves per district whereas in rest of the districts 450 surgical gloves have been given to each district whereas hand sanitisers has been given to lahore, rawalpindi, gujranwala, multan and faisalabad 80 liters per district whereas in remaining districts, 45 liters have been provided each district. Likewise lahore, rawalpindi, gujranwala, multan and faisalabad have been given 100 googles each district whereas 50 goggles have been given to rest of the each district. Overall lahore police has been given 2708 surgical mask, rawalpindi police has been given 1768 masks, 1618 masks to faisalabad, 1293 to multan, 1397 to gujranwala, 634 to Attock, 340 to Jehlum, 438 to Chakwal, 715 to Sargodha, 250 to Mianwali, 297 to khushab, 270 to Bhakkar, 665 to Gujrat, 429 to Mandi Bahauddin, 974 to Sialkot, 189 to Hafiz Abad, 320 to Narowal, 360 to Toba Tek Singh, 260 to Chiniot, 510 to Jhang, 604 to Sheikhupura, 399 to Kasur, 275 to Nankana, 535 to Okara, 387 to Sahiwal, 465 to Vehari, 381 To Khanewal, 310 to Lodhran, 754 to Bahawalpur district, 535 to Bahawalnagar, 381 to Rahim yar Khan, 662 to DG Khan, 311 to Layyah, 570 surgical masks to Muzaffar Garh, and Rajan pur district has been given 544 surgical masks. IG punjab directed that police force should perform their duties on high alert and spirit of public service for safety of mourners and do not hesitate in sacrificing their lives in the line of duty.
