As per direction of IG punjab, provision of washable masks to officers and officials deputed for security of muharram has been started.
Addl IG welfare and finance has sent a letter to ccpo Lahore and all cpos and dpos across the province in this regard.
During security duty of Muharram, protection of force form Corona pandemic and other dangers is among the priorities of the department. IG punjab.
Inspector General police punjab shoaib dastgir said that protection of officers and officials deputed for se security duty from Corona pandemic is top priority besides maintaining law and order in the province and for this purpose, washable masks are being provided to force deputed on muharram security which will be helpful in protecting officers and officials deputed for mourning processions, Majalis and other significant places from Corona pandemic. He further said that punjab police is fully alert for safety of mourners and no stone shall be left unturned for protection of wealth and lives of citizens. As per direction of IG punjab, Addl IG welfare and finance has sent a letter to all heads of police across the province by which for officers and officials deputed on security duty of muharram, all districts may get washable masks from Central Police office in accordance with strength of their nuffree.
In the letter, it has been directed to all police heads that masks are available in COvid 19 store of central police office with respect to strength of nuffree of every district and the allocated officer of the district may get these masks by showing authority letter whereas every mask can be reused after washing it 30 times. Washable masks shall also be provided to officers and officials of punjab constabulary deputed over security duty of muharram. According to the details, 6100 washable masks shall be provided to lahore police, 3700 masks to rawalpindi, 1400 to Attok, 900 to chakwal, 600 to Jehlum, 3000 to gujranwala, 400 to Hafizabad, 1000 washable masks to Sialkot, 1500 to Gujrat, 1000 to Mandi Bahaudin, 600 to Narowal, 3600 to Faisalabad, 1200 to Jhang, 600 to Chiniot, 600 to Toba tek Singh, 3000 to Multan, 700 to Khanewal, 700 washable masks to Lodhran, 900 masks to Vehari, 1500 to Sheikhupura, 1000 to Kasur, 600 to Nankana Sahib, 800 to Sahiwal, 1200 to Okara, 1000 to Pakpattan, 1500 to Sargodha, 700 to Khushab, 600 to Mianwali, 600 to Bhakkar, 1600 to Bahwalpur, 1200 to Bahwalnagar, 1000 to Rahim Yar Khan, 1400 to DG Khan, 1100 to Rajanpur, 500 to Layyah whereas 1400 washable masks shall be provided to Muzaffargarh District Pakpattan has been provided masks as per allocation whereas provision of masks to rest of the districts is continued.
