LAHORE: Lahore police arrested at least 198 suspects after registration of at least 149 cases over violations of one wheeling, aerial firing, fireworks, etc in different police stations of the city. DIG Operations Lahore Ashfaq Khan said that at least 183 persons were arrested for one wheeling, eight for aerial firing and seven for fireworks. Per details, as many as 136 motorcycles used in one wheeling were impounded in various police stations in the provincial capital. According to statistics, 61 individuals from City division, 34 from Model Town division, 27 from Cantonment division, 24 from Sadar division, 20 from Civil Lines division and 17 from Iqbal Town division were arrested for one wheeling. At least six suspects of aerial firing were arrested from City division, one from Civil Lines division and one from Sadar division. On the conducting illegal fireworks, three persons were arrested from Cantonment division, two from Iqbal Town division and one from model Town division. Police also recovered weapons, liquor and firework material also from their custody.
