MUZAFFARGARH: Muzaffargarh police on Sunday arrested a man for killing his three-month-old daughter and implicating his father in the murder case.
The suspect, identified as Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Patti Sultan of tehsil Kot Addu, had alleged killed his infant daughter on May 19.
After the murder, Ghulam Abbas’s wife Naseem Mai submitted an application against her father-in-law Munir Ahmad, saying that her husband demanded property from his father but he refused to give him his share. After some time, Ghulam Abbas took their daughter, Noor Fatima, to Munir and sought property in her name but Munir snatched the baby from Abbas and threw her on the road. The baby’s head hit the road and she died due to a critical injury.
Sanawan police registered a case against Munir; however, during investigation, they traced the actual killer, Abbas.
Police arrested him and registered a case against him. Kot Addu DSP Syed Ejaz Bukhari said Abbas’s wife would also be interrogated to determine her role in the case.
