During last three months, collectively 1757 officers and officials have been given record promotions based upon merit and seniority.

The promoted officers and officials should work with more hard work, commitment and diligence. IG Punjab.

As per directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastagir, process of promotion of officers and officials having merit, seniority and good professional record is continued speedily and during the year officers and officials of all ranges  and districts have been promoted to next ranks. According to the details, DIG Establishment – I, Ashfaq Ahmad Khan while discussing about promotion told that as per the vision of IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir, Addl: IGP Establishment B.A Nasir is ensuring every possible measures to speed up the process of Departmental promotion of officers and officials and regular sessions of promotion boards have been held for promotion of ranks of DSP to Head constables so that morale of the force serving on Front line in Corona lock down and Ramzan ul Mubarak may be enhanced and they may perform their duties of protection and service of public in better way.

 

According to the details, during the year, in promotion board sessions held at central police office, around 88 inspectors have been promoted to DSPs, 123 sub inspectors have been promoted to ranks of Inspectors whereas 86 traffic wardens have been promoted to ranks of senior traffic  wardens whereas collectively 1112 sub inspectors and ASIs from all regions and districts have been given Departmental promotion based upon merit and seniority among them 348 sub inspectors and 764 ASIs are included. Among the promoted officers, 648 are from Lahore police, 41 from Sheikhupura region, 81 from Gujranwala region, 26 from Rawalpindi region, 87 from Faislabad region, 48 from Sargodha region, 57 from Multan region, 93 from Sahiwal region, 25 from Bahawalpur region whereas 37 sub inspectors and ASIs are from DG Khan region. Likewise, during current year 348 constables were promoted as Head constables hailing from different regions and districts meritoriously. IG Punjab Shoaib Dastagir congratulated all promoted officers and officials and said that professional responsibilities gets enhanced with increase in ranks with Departmental promotion therefore, all officers should work with more commitment, hard work and diligence and perform their official duties by ensuring equal implementation of law, following of merit and high professionalism and also ensure resolution of public issues on priority bases. He further said that promotion board sessions should be held continuously so that other deserving officers and officials may get their due right of promotion.
