IGP for reopening service centres across Punjab

LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastgir directed to reopen Police Khidmat Marakiz in all districts of the province in order to provide policing services to the public.

He also issued written instructions to the Lahore capital city police officer, all regional police officers and district police officers to reopen the centres from Tuesday (today) and ask staff to resume work in accordance with the coronavirus precautionary measures. More than a dozen services were provided to citizens at these police centres through an online integrated system, including driving licence, character certificate, police verification etc.

These Khidmat centres had been closed since March 16 in the wake of coronavirus.

All officers have been directed in the letter that precautionary measures, especially social distancing, must be ensured at any cost.
