BAHAWALPUR: The Hasilpur City police on Friday arrested a man from Bihar Colony of Hasilpur on the charge of blasphemy, levelled by his neighbour.
According to the public relations officer of the DPO Office, Jam Sajid, the first information report (FIR) against the suspect was registered under Section 295-C of the PPC on March 15 on the complaint of his neighbour.
According to the FIR, the complaint alleged his neighbour in the presence of witnesses had come out of his house in a fit of anger and started uttering objectionable words against Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
Hasilpur SHO Ifan Akbar arrested the suspect.
