Six arrested for two murders over rivalry

TOBA TEK SINGH: Pirmahal police arrested six people after registering two cases on Sunday over murders of a woman and a child of separate parties over an old rivalry on Saturday night.

A first information report (FIR) registered on the complaint of Mumtaz Bibi, the wife of Rab Nawaz Gadhi, said her rival, Arshad Shahzad Gadhi, and his six accomplices attacked their house and opened indiscriminate fire.

As a result, her sister, Gulzar Bibi, 50, was seriously injured and she died when she was being shifted to Pirmahal Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

According to the other FIR, registered separately as a cross case on the complaint of Shahbaz Khan Gadhi, Zain Abbas Gadhi and his 12 accomplices attacked complainant’s house and shot at and injured his 13-year-old brother Farhan Nawaz, who later died when he was being shifted to the hospital.

The report alleged that Zain and others had shot at and injured Shahbaz’s brother Arshad Shahzad and in that case, one of the suspects, Ghazanfar Gadhi, was in jail.

The complainant said when he refused to accept the offer of reconciliation in that case, the suspects again attacked his house and killed his minor brother.
