GUJRANWALA: A minor boy who was kidnapped 10 days ago from Gakharmandi Sasta Bazar was recovered by police on Monday.
City Police Office Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta told newsman that three years old Naseer of Bangla Abadi, Gohar Mandi, was playing outside his house when he was kidnapped by unidentified suspects.
When his parents informed police on Jan 24, RPO Tariq Abbas Qureshi directed the Gakhar SHO to recover the boy.
Some people of nearby village Kot Noora informed the family of the child that some women were residing there in a rented house and they had a minor boy who was crying all the time. As the family informed the police, SHO Mustaq Ahmad raided the house and recovered the minor boy.
The SHO told Dawn that Mussart Bibi, now in police custody, claimed that she had purchased the boy for Rs 25000 from an addict whom she did not know.
The SHO said raids were being conducted to arrest accomplices of Musarrat who had fled just before the police raid.
