Man held for impersonating AC official

TOBA TEK SINGH: The City police arrested on Monday an imposter for impersonating as an official of the assistant commissioner’s office and wanted to inspect a marriage hall for violation of one-dish rule.

A first information report (FIR) registered under sections 468,170 and 171 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint Paradise Wedding Hall owner, Riaz Ahmad Ansari, said the suspect Muhammad Jamil was asked by him to show his official identity card and he firstly produced a visiting card, showing him as government servant but when card was verified from the AC office, it was found to be fake.

Mr Ansari alleged that the suspect had tried to open fire with his pistol on him which created unrest among the marriage participants. During the initial inquiry, the suspect was found to be imposter and arrested by the police.
