Kasur Police arrest 66 criminals, recover drugs, weapons

Kasur police claimed on Saturday to have arrested 66 criminals including 12 Proclaimed Offenders (POs), 9 Court Absconders (CAs) and recovered weapons and drugs from their possession. A massive crackdown against criminals and anti social elements is continued across province as per directions of IGP Punjab and many criminals including proclaimed offenders have been arrested in this regard.
Zahid Nawaz Marwat DPO Kasur ensured a big success under his supervision and arrested many drugs dealers, illegal weapons holders, proclaimed offenders, thieves, dacoits and accused involved in heinous crimes.
DPO Kasur while talking about last month progress told that Kasur police arrested 66 criminals including 12 A category proclaimed offenders, 09 court absconders whereas full scale actions are being taken against drugs dealers to clean the district and during the month, police arrested 129 dangerous drugs dealers and recovered 97 kilogram chars, heroine one kilogram, 1300 liter wine and 46 liter lahn and cases have also been registered against them.
Likewise, kasue police also took actions in accordance with national action plan against illegal weapons holders and arrested 83 accused and recovered 07 kalashinkove, 04 rifle, 61 pistols, 10 guns and 09 magazines. Above all, 5 members of two dangerous gangs of dacoity and recovered five lac rupees from the theft property.
During the month, two girls along with 11 children and boys have been recovered and handed over to their parents. DPO Kasur said that as per directions of IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir, search operations, snap checkings are being boosted up for elimination criminals and I myself am supervising these operations so that during these operations no law abiding citizens could be disturbed.
As per directions of IGP Punjab, every possible effort is being made to maintain facility of law abiding citizens during the crackdown, DPO said.
