LAHORE:The players of Lahore Police Sports Wing who participated in 33rd National Games 2019 called on DIG Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed at his office Thursday.
Rai Babar Saeed lauded the performance of all the sportsmen and congratulated them for their exemplary success during national games. The players included Naimatullah (coach), Asghar Ali, Ghulam Abbas, Salman Tariq, Muhammad Abid, Qurban, Adil bin Talat, Usama Mustafa, Shafqat Ali and Haroon. DIG Operations said that the police officers were showing excellent performance in all fields of life, including sports, parallel to controlling crime and maintaining law and order in the city.
Haroon and Shafqat of Lahore Police won silver medal in wrestling, Salman Abid and Ghulam Abbas won bronze medals in judo, Adil bin Talat won bronze medal in taekwondo whereas Usama Mustafa also won bronze medal in archery competitions. It is pertinent to mention that these players have also been awarded commendation certificates and cash awards by IG Punjab Police Shoaib Dastgir for their excellent achievement in national games.
