LAHORE: The Shahdara police have arrested a suspect in the case of a minor’s rape that took place a week ago.
According to the police, the girl was recovered from a house located in a deserted area where the alleged rapist had kept her for a week or so.
The medical examination of the seven-year-old confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.
After lodging a case on the report of the girl’s father, police arrested a suspect.
A police official said the suspect had lured the girl when she was playing outside her house and took her to a deserted place near Saggian Bridge where he raped her. Police traced him through CCTV footage and recovered the girl, he added.
