SARGODHA: Police have arrested 542 accused and seized around 84.5 kilogrammes narcotics and 232 weapons from them during December 2019.
During an operation against drug pushers, police registered a total of 176 cases against drug pushers and seized hashish including 1.6kg heroin, 2,445 bottles of liquors along with seven distilleries from them.
The police arrested 140 involved in murder, robbery, theft and other crimes.
Similarly, during a drive against criminals and exhibition of legal and illegal weapons, police teams have arrested 226 accused and seized 17 Kalashnikovs, 26 rifles, 45 guns of 12-bore, 142 pistols of 30-Bore, two revolvers and hundreds of cartridges and bullets from them. The district police have also conducted 82 search operations against suspects at homes, shops, plazas, hotels and other places through biometric system.
