Trainee officers of 47th common training program paid a study visit to Central police office.

Trainee officers asked questions of their research projects regarding working system of Punjab Police.

Addl IG operations Inam Ghani said that the process of transforming working system of Punjab Police into  smart policing equipped with modern technology and updated parameters is continued speedily and for quick resolution of complaints of public, complaint management system, accountability of force, capacity building, change in thana culture are being improved. Moreover, process of recruitment is also being made effective by upgradation of training syllabus and inclusion of able human resource so that easy and best public service delivery should be ensured besides supremacy of law and order so that police department might be strengthened. He further added that with the help of timely reforms in working system of Police and modern projects of information technology, a considerable improvement has been seen in general policing and public service delivery projects whereas special attention is being given for improving investigation system, system of reward and punishment, research and development along with other branches by which remarkable improvement has been observed in supremacy of law and elimination of terrorism and crimes. These views were expressed by him while he was discussing to trainee officers of 47th common training program during their study visit at central police office. Former Addl IG Sarmad Saeed led this 10 member delegation of civil services academy and these officers were briefed about IT projects, complaint management system, internal accountability system, investigation system and working of other projects of Punjab Police.

Addl IG training Tariq Masood yaseen responded to quieris regarding research projects of trainee officers and said that two IT skills modules have been incorporated in training syllabus in order to modernize police officials which will enhance their efficiency and capacity building. He further added that modules of ethics have been made mandatory part of the syllabus with respect to change of behavior of officials in public dealing so that trainee officers and officials may bring a positive change in traditional thana culture with their courteous behavior, professional skills, hard work and commitment in the field. He further said that with the appointment of SP complaints, the delay in registration of cases on complaints of the citizens has been overcome. The officers of the delegation visited 8787 complaint management system, establishment branch, monitoring and control room where they were briefed about the working and running projects by the concerned branch officer. The delegation was also given awareness of safe city project, training syllabus, human resource, accountability,change in thana culture and public service delivery. While responding to question, AIG operations Imran Kishwar said that under private partnership, Punjab Police have launched intigrated command and control systems on the parameters of safe city Lahore in four cities including Mianwali, Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan and other which are bringing good results in maintaining supremacy of law and issues of traffic management. Addl IG training Tariq Masood Yaseen, DIG Training Salman Sultan Rana, DIG IAB Imran Mehmud, AIG complaints Ibadat Nisar and AIG operations Imran Kishwar along with other officers were present on this occasion.
