LAHORE:On the instructions of Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Shoaib Dastgir, the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) are working actively and taking timely action against the offenders.
Twenty-eight drivers were arrested on installing prohibited gas cylinders in vehicles. PHP removed 277 temporary encroachments and reunited three children namely Muhammad Ashraf, Abdullah and Sagheer Ahmad with their parents.
Additional IG Punjab Zafar Iqbal Awan visited Lahore, Rawalpindi and Sargodha regions. He also made the officers and officials aware of the policy guidelines and also held darbar to listen to the issues of officials.
He laid flowers on the martyrs' graves and prayed for their higher ranks. He met with the widow, daughter and father of Shaheed ASI Sajjad Hussein of Chakwal district and presented gifts to them.
