Lodhran Police wreaked massive crackdown against professional Criminals.

398 proclaimed offenders have been arrested during last one and half month.

The huge amount of drugs and illegal arms have been recovered from their possession.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastagir sought a report from all RPOs and DPOs regarding actions of Police teams against professional criminals and anti-social elements of the society and also directed to speed up intelligence-based operations so that lives and properties of the citizens may be saved and public service delivery may be improved. In this regard, DPO Lodhran Malik Jameel Zafar briefed about police performance under his supervision during last one and half month and told that police teams of Lodhran Police are engaged day and night in maintaining law and order, elimination of drugs mafia and eradication of criminals. He said that police are committed to improving public service delivery. Likewise, during the last one and a half months, 706 cases have been registered among which 689 accused have been sent to the jail after submitting challan of 400 cases. Around 56 lac rupees theft amount have been recovered and handed over to the real owners of this money having motorcycle, cattle and household luggage. During the last one and a half months, 398 proclaimed offenders have been arrested among them 18 accused were of A category and 380 criminals were of B category. Moreover, 50 cases have been registered in illegal arms cases, recovering 03 kalashankve, 04 rifle, 02 guns, 38 pistols, 01 repeater and 145 bullets. In addition to it, 90 cases have been registered in drugs dealings and 60 kilo opium, 43.5 kilo chars, 2208 wine bottles, 730 liter lehn, 110 gram heroin, 11.5 bhang and 12 working wine kilns have been seized. 09 gangs involved in sundry crimes have been traced and members of 27 gangs have been arrested recovering amount of around 34 lac 24 thousand. Raids were conducted on gambling spots in order to eliminate the curse of gambling and 39 accused have been arrested after registering 10 cases and cards, luddo and other money bet on gambling was recovered and accused have been sent to jail. Moreover, actions are being taken against the persons who are violating the sound act. 07 accused have been arrested by registering 09 cases who were found guilty of sheltering and facilitating the proclaimed offenders.
