As per directions of IGP Punjab search operations and snap checking are being boasted up against anti social elements DPO Chiniot.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastgir has sought the reports of actions taken against anti social elements across the province and also directed to RPOs and DPOs to speed up the process of actions against the criminals. In this regard, DPO Chiniot Syed Husna Haider while sharing on month progress of Chiniot Police under his supervision that chiniot police is engaged in supremacy of law and order, elimination of curse of drugs and eradication of professional criminals. Community policing, timely justice, protection of wealth and lives of people are among top priorities of Police and in this regard, 302 accused have been arrested including 132 proclaimed offenders and illegal arms and drugs have been recovered from them during one month. According to the details, Chiniot police arrested 132 proclaimed offenders during last month whereas 4 more persons have been arrested for sheltering these proclaimed offenders.  Likewise, 48 cases have been registered against drugs delaers and 52 accused have been detained by recovering more than 12 kilo chars, 937 litre alcohol, running alcohol kilns, and other related stuff. Moreover during other different actions against criminals by which 28 criminals have been arrested and 13 pistols, 10 guns, 4 rifles and 1 revolver with 86 bullets have been recovered from them. Upon violation of amplifier act, cases have been registered against 8 accused, 36 persons have been arrested for open sale of patrol and illegal sellers of gas refilling whereas 17 persons have been arrested for power theft, 02 were arrested for water theft, and 08 persons have been arrested for using fake number plates. District police also recovered amomunt of 40 lac rupees that was lost during incidents of theft, dacoity and robbery. Dpo chiniot further said that as per directions of IGP Punjab Shoaib Dastgir, search operations and snap checking are being boosted up for elimination of criminals and maintaining law and order. He told that it has been directed to district police to remain careful and convenient with law abiding citizens during conducting these operations.
