Terrorism, Sectarianism, Heinous crimes, violation of fundamental rights, lacks of accountability system and misuse of powers are the core issues which directly effecting the people of Pakistan

This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab Javed Iqbal while addressing the 59 participants of 94th Group of National management College here at PHQ today. On this occasion Addl. IG Punjab Ch. Tanvir presented the welcome address where as Addl. IG Training Sarmed Saeed, Addl. IG Investigation Azam Joyia, Addl. IG CTD Mushtaq Ahmad Sukheria and officiating AIG Operation Rifat Mukhtar Raja briefed the delegation about the patrolling, Investigation, Operations, Traffic, Elite Force, Special Branch and CTD.

The IG maintained that the policy of easy access of the public to the police officers/officials and timely completion of investigation of various crimes is being implemented at every level; under which the quick redressal of people’s grievances would be guaranteed. The IG said that to ensure the complete protection of people’s live and property police force is being organized on modern lines under which they are being equipped with latest technology and equipments. He said in order to enhance the professional skill of police officers/officials training courses of different durations were under way in all training schools of the police department where lectures were being delivered by the national as well as foreign experts. Moreover to acquaint the police officers of investigation wing with modern techniques, special training courses were also being organized, he added.

Provincial Police Chief said that in order to purge the police department from corruption a strict system of check and balance has been initiated under which officers/officials of good service record would be encouraged while the officers/officials of bad record would be taken to task, concluded the IGP.

Later on, Chief Instructor Shafiq Hussain Bokhari appreciated the IGP for inviting the delegation.
