MULTAN: Khanewal police on Monday arrested a man and his son for injuring a woman relative with axe blows over her refusal to make tea for them.
Mian Channu police lodged an FIR under Section 354 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Parveen, a resident of Chak 97/15 LR who alleged that when she was alone in her house on Sunday, her brother-in-law Ameer and his son Mushtaq armed with axes came to her house.
She said Mushtaq first injured her nose and arm and then dragged her by her hair. Parveen alleged that her husband Dilmeer instead of rescuing her joined his brother and tortured her.
Station House Officer Malik Tayab said the police had arrested Mushtaq and his father Ameer. He said the complainant did not want action against her husband. He said a few hours later, the woman moved an application that she had forgiven all the accused.
“However I told her that the accused will be produced before a court and any decision about their fate will be taken by it,” he added.
