RAHIM YAR KHAN: Police have registered a case against a woman for slapping a policeman and a lady police official on Monday night.
According to the FIR No 580/19, Asghar called Rescue 15 and informed police that a woman was injured at Bhatta Colony and ASI Waris Ali, along with lady constable Rabia Karim, reached the spot and shifted the woman (who was identified as Bushra Anam, wife of Suleman Haider of Fawara Chowk, Bohar Gate, Multan) to the Shaikh Zayed Medical College Hospital (SZMCH) emergency.
After getting first-aid, when police employees wanted to register her name in the hospital record, she lost her temper and slapped police employees and threatened them with dire consequences.
Police sources said the officials uploaded the footage on social media.
SP Investigation Faraz Ahmed ordered City DSP Fayyaz Ahmed Pansota to inquire into the matter. On the report of the DSP, the police arrested Bushra and registered a case against her under sections 353, 186 and 506 of PPC.
Police spokesperson Arshad Nawaz told Dawn that Bushra injured herself after taking sleeping pills to exact revenge from her husband on contracting second marriage. She had been sent on judicial remand, he added.
