Tribute to police martyrs

LAHORE - Lahore police yesterday arranged a get together at the Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh to pay tributes to its martyrs.

Senior police officers and families of the martyred policemen attended the ceremony, arranged to honour the Lahore policemen who lost their lives while fighting criminals and terrorists in recent years.

Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Amin Wains, Lahore DCO Muhammad Usman, DIG (Operations) Haider Ashraf, and DIG (Investigation) Sultan Chaudhry were also present on this occasion besides others.

While speaking to participants, CCPO Amin Wains said that the martyrs of Lahore police are the heroes of the nation. He said that the blood of Lahore police martyrs was a debt over them and they would return this debt by completely eliminating terrorists from the motherland. He said the martyrs had written glorious chapters of courage for establishing peace in the country. On this occasion, he said that over 270 officers and official of Lahore police had embraced Shahadat.

DCO Usman said that appreciated the Lahore police for pay rich tributes to the martyrs before their families. He said that such functions should be held constantly as the families of martyrs deserved to be praised and honoured.
