Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain (R) Arif Nawaz Khan taking notice of the incident of torture by police officials on a citizen at a private house directed DPO Narowal Zulfiqar Ahmad to submit a report taking action on it DPO Narowal submitted the report to IG Punjab.
According to the details, SHO PS Kot Nainan Muhammad Akram along with 3 other officials kept a citizen in a private house and tortured him taking notice on which IG Punjab asked for a report and to take action against the responsible officials. According to the directions of IG Punjab, DPO Narowal registered an FIR and arrested all 4 officials after they found guilty of the illegal action.
IG Punjab Captain(R) Arif Nawaz Khan in this regard further said that there is no place for such black sheep’s in police and we are strictly following zero-tolerance policy regarding custodial torture. IG Punjab further said that against the elements found guilty of abuse of power will be taken strict legal and departmental action without any delay. IG Punjab further said that a strict legal and departmental action should be taken against the officials found guilty of abuse of power and such criminal minded and careless officials will not remain part of the police force.
