IG Punjab Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan took notice of the murder of a 12 years old child in the Manthar area of Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar khan and directed DPO Rahim Yar Khan Umer Salamat to submit a report, taking action on the directions of IGP; DPO Rahim Yar Khan submitted initial report to IG Punjab.
According to report incident took place on 22 July and an FIR of the crime is registered on the application of the father of the murdered child Meer Muhamamd against the accused Abdul Latif and his accomplices. Plaintiff told that his son used to take care of the cattle’s and Abdul Latif threatened him when the cattle’s crossed into his fields while grazing. DPO Rahim Yar Khan in his report further told that according to the post mortem report the child was strangled and no evidence of sodomy was found. DPO also shared that so far 1 nominated accused and three other accused has been arrested out of 2 nominated and 5 other accused while investigation is being carried out on scientific basis. It is worth mentioning here that IG Punjab asked for a preliminarily report from DPO Rahim yar Khan and to take immediate action. IG Punjab further directed DPO Rahim Yar Khan that other nominated accused in the case should also be arrested within 72 hours and to complete the investigation in his own supervision.
