IG Police made compulsory the submission of asset declarations...

In order to eliminate the corruption from the police department and to observe the transparency and merit for the promotions of ASIs, SIs, TWs and Inspectors, first time in the history of Pakistan police, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has made compulsory the submission of asset declarations for their promotion under Punjab government conduct rules 1966 u/s 12 and police rules 1934 u/s 14 clause 23.
 
According to details, under the directions of Provincial Police Chief, acting Addl: IGP Investigation Punjab, Tariq Masood Yasin has prepared and issued the new Performance Evaluation Report (PER) Forms for the year 2014. Provision of the latest photographs including the asset declaration, its nature, place and source of the asset will be essential for the new PER forms, besides, the asset details at the time of joining the service. The officers who failed to produce such declaration will not be considered for promotion and their cases will be deferred.
 
Implementation on these new PER forms will start this year from 31st December, 2014. These PER forms along with the asset declarations will be scrutinized and scanned through the computerized branches already have been established in the offices of CCPO, RPOs and DIGs. 
 
In order to check the authenticity of these submitted asset declarations, 25 files of the officers through ballot will be selected and published in national press. In case of any kind of complaint or fake information received through public about these declarations, a high level enquiry will be initiated against such officer. In the light of the enquiry report the services of such officers will be terminated.
 
In the new PER forms the separate criteria has been defined for the evaluation of the officers of various departments including, Operation, Investigation, Intelligence, Mechanics, Traffic Wardens, Driver, PC, Special Branch, Training Centers, Elite Police, Telecommunication and others.
