CTD Punjab gets conviction of three local leaders of JeM (Jaish-e-Muhammad) in the offence of TF (Terrorism Financing) in Anti-Terrorism Court Gujranwala as a result of successful prosecution.

 Anti Terrorism Court Gujranwala convicted three leaders of proscribed organization Jaish-e-Muhammad. On the basis of evidence and investigations by CTD, the ATC found them guilty of the offence of TF (Terrorism Financing) in three separate cases which had been registered by the CTD Gujranwala in Police Station CTD Gujranwala. Funds had been recovered from them which they had collected for TF. According to the details of court decision convict M. Iftikhar has been awarded sentence of 5 years imprisonment & fine amounting to 45 thousand while second convict Muhammad Ajmal has been awarded 5 years imprisonment & 50 thousand fine and convict Bilal has been awarded sentence of 5 years imprisonment & 40 thousand fine. All 03 convicts have been sent to Central Prison Gujranwala to undergo the imprisonment.

According to the spokesperson of CTD, these investigations & prosecutions are being followed to stop Proscribed Organizations from indulging in TF (Terrorism Financing). He further added that proscribed organizations & their leaders are warned to desist from terrorism financing. Otherwise, they will be arrested & sent to prison.
