IG Punjab Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan paid a sudden visit to Karbala Gamay shah, IG Punjab reviewed route of central processions and security arrangements on the day of Youm E Ali A.S

Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan paid a sudden visit of Karbala Gamay Shah to review security arrangements of central processions on the event of Yum Shahadat E Hazrat Ali A.S in Lahore and also gave directions to officers and officials deputed over there for official duties on the spot. On this occasion DIG Operations Lahore Ashfaq Ahmad khan , CTO Lahore Captain Retired Liaqat Ali Malik and SSP Investigation Zeeshan Asghar while briefing to IG Punjab about security Arrangements taken for protection of citizens and traffic management told that all available resources are being utilized for security of central processions of day of Shahadat E Ali A.S and three layered security as per defined in SOP is being provided to processions.

IG Punjab directed to officers and officials deputed over there for security that no one should leave duty point until unless the last mourner don't get back safely. He directed that all the citizens should be allowed to enter into procession after checking through metal detectors and walk through gates. While visiting to different points of the route IG Punjab inquired the officials deputed over there about their duties and directed them that they should remain more active and alert keeping in view the current circumstances and also ensure safety of their own lives besides protecting lives and properties of the citizens and implement the directions already told to them in this regard. On this occasion, talking to media personnel IG Punjab expressed that all forces including Punjab Police, Traffic Police, Elite Force, Punjab Constabulary and others are serving, their officials duties filled with faith and fervor and surveillance and monitoring of the mourners are being ensured by the help of CCTV cameras. IG Punjab directed to officers that roads which have been cleared due to routes of processions should not be closed unduly so that traveling citizens may avoid troubles. He emphasized that provision of Aftari for officials deputed over these places should be ensured timely and senior officers should supervise the processions till the end by making their presence in the field.
