 As per directions of IG Punjab captain retired Arif Nawaz Khan security high alert and crackdown across province is continued,

 Jhang police arrested more than 175 accused including 88 dangerous proclaimed offenders during the month of May.

As per directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab captain retired Arif Nawaz Khan crackdown against criminals and proclaimed offenders and security high alert is going on in district Jhang  . Police teams of Jhang under the leadership of district police officer Jhang Ata ul Rehman arrested 175 accused including 88  dangerous proclaimed offenders. According to the details, hefty amount of drugs and illegal weapons have also been seized and dacoits, thieves,88 proclaimed offenders, 42 absconders of courts,45 habitual criminals drugs peddlers have been arrested. Among these arrested criminals around 11 are of A category. Moreover in order to purge Jhang from the curse of drugs around 60 drugs pushers have been taken behind the bars along with recovering 18.075 kilo gram chars 1.374 kilogram heroin fermented alcohol 130 litter 437 bottles of wine and 03 working breweries including 29 cases of c-9 whereas under national action plan 36 accused  have been arrested  against illegal possession of weapons including 08 guns , 02 rifles, 03 revolver,21 pistols and 70 cartridges. Moreover 07 cases have registered against violation of loud speaker act whereas 12 cases have been registered against sale of open petrol. 11 cases against illegal refilling of gas have been registered, 50 cases have been registered against power theft. 08 cases have been registered against violation of Punjab information of temporary residence act 2015 (tenancy act)03 cases have been lodged against the use of illegal gas cylinders in vehicles. 01 case under child act, 12 cases under the respect of Ramzan act, 06 cases under food control act, 01 case under kite flying act and 02 cases of price control act have been registered and legal proceedings have been started against the accused. Likewise more than 02 lakh 35 thousand rupees have been recovered after arresting dacoits, thieves, cattle lifters and the recovered amount and luggage  have been handed over to the real owners.

Dpo Jhung  said that all resources are being utilized to purge the district from crimes in order to ensure the protection of lives and properties of people.DPO Jhung   said that as per the vision of IG Punjab captain retired Arif Nawaz Khan, the search, combing and sweep operations and checking  in all district is going on in accordance with the already set SOP in order to ensure the security of Ramzan. As per orders of worthy  IG Punjab, he moreover said that duty hour of patrolling force has been increased near sensitive worship places, mosques, , imam bargahs and trade centers.
