IG Punjab chaired an important session at central police office.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan said that protection of wealth and lives of people along with taking steps for provision of best service delivery is my top priority and it also includes upgradation of force in accordance with modern parameters, best utilization of available resources and strict accountability system.

These views were expressed by IGP Cap. (R) Arif Nawaz khan, during chairing an important session with senior police officers at central police office Lahore today. DIG SPU Sultan Ahmad Ch, DIG Logistics Rai Baber Saeed, DIG Telecommunications Shahid Javed, SSP MotorTransport Wing (MT) Azhar Akram and AIG logistics Abdul Qadir Qamar were present at this occasion.

The officers in the session briefed IG Punjab about working of their respective departments and ongoing projects whereas IG Punjab issued orders to police officers regarding administrative issues. He directed DIG SPU to put full focus to provide security to all foreigners especially Chinese citizens and experts also ensure high speed vehicles and modern sophisticated weapons to the force which is deployed over CPEC projects and also directed senior officers to ensure surprise visits of important working sites on weekly basis.

IG Punjab further directed SSP MT to furnish detailed report of inspection of all vehicles of Police in districts to CPO office and also take measures to address issue of officials on priority basis. IG Punjab was of the opinion that improvement with reforms should be taken in telecommunications with the help of modern technology. He also emphasized upon that refresher courses and training workshops should be conducted in accordance with the modern age to enhance capacity building of officials.
