IG Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi issued notification regarding marking 23rd March with zeal and security arrangements across province to all field officers.

Ban on One wheeling and kite flying should be implemented and ensured. No negligence shall be tolerated in this regard.

Field officers will hoist national flags on this national day and also hold parades and other ceremonies at police lines.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi issued directions to all field officers to make strict security arrangements on the event of 23rd March and mark this day with full zeal and fervor.

All field officers have been directed to take steps for security arrangements of national highways, educational institutions, hospitals, airports, Railway stations, bus terminals and also ensure constant patrolling and checking of Police pickets in sensitive places of  their respective districts.

It has been strictly directed in a notification issue by IG Punjab that ban of kite flying and one wheeling should be implemented at any cost and steps should be taken to stop one wheeling whereas strict action will also be taken against kite flying and aerial firing. Stern legal actions will be taken against the violators of law so that this national day may be observed peacefully without loss of precious lives and no negligence shall be tolerated in this regard.

It has further been said in the notification that all field officers to  make a proper record of all ceremonies held in their respective districts and also carve out proper arrangements for public besides monitoring these ceremonies. The IG Punjab emphasizes that all senior officers should remain in field for protection of public.

Moreover, security of places especially mosques, churches, Gurdawaras and other worship places of minorities should be ensured and also patrolling in sensitive areas so that citizens and common public may fell themselves protected and secured. It was further said in notification that police officers and officials should remain in constant contact with citizens so that every Pakistani irrespective of any religion may enjoy this national day fully.

In addition to it, all field officers have been made bound to hoist national flags on this day and also hold parades and other ceremonies in which public participation should be ensured so that public police trust may be prevailed smoothly and peacefully and public may also get aware about service delivery of Police.
