A graceful  ceremony arranged by IGP  in honor of Additional IG Sarmad Saeed on completion of his illustrious career in Punjab Police, at CPO Lahore, today.

Being away due to some official commitment, farewell address by IGP was read by his PSO, SSP Tariq Rustam Chauhan on this occasion.

 

In his statement IGP said that the glorious services rendered by Sarmad Saeed will always be remembered in the department and it would become the beam of light for the officers. He further said that Sarmad Saeed is a symbol of bravery, professionalism and honesty. All senior officers also paid rich tribute to Sarmad Saeed on the event.

 

While speaking on the occasion, Sarmad Saeed said that he will always cherish the sweet memories of his stay in the police deptt. Later, Additional IG R&D Altaf Hussain, presented a souvenir to Sarmad Saeed on behalf of IGP.

 

8th common officer who served the Police department for 34 years, joined the department as ASP in 1980. He was born in Toba Tek Singh in 1954. He did his Masters in English and Sindhi. He was promoted to the rank of SP in 1986. During his service, he served on key position in different districts of the Punjab province including Lahore, Bahawalnagar, Gujrat, Sheikhupra and R.Y. Khan and also served in various districts in Sindh as well. He was promoted to the rank of DIG in 2005. He also served as DIG, IGP, Northern Areas at Gilgit, Dy. Director I.B. in NR Headquarters, NPA, Islamabad and DIG security Division, Lahore as well. He was promoted to the rank of Addl. IGP in 2010. He worked as Addl. IGP Punjab,Training and Welfare & Finance.
