Four held for killing trader and his son

SIALKOT: Daska police claim to have arrested four suspects for killing a Kasur-based trader, his son and their car driver over a money dispute two weeks ago.

Daska Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shahid Nawaz Warraich told newsmen on Monday that the suspects -- Masser Hussain, his brother Mudassar Hussain, Shamas Din and Umair Shahzad confessed to have killed trader Muhammad Niaz, his son Ahmad Niaz and their driver Fiaz over a money dispute in Sialkot on Dec 29, 2018.

The DSP said the suspects, after killing the victims, left the bodies in their rented car and abandoned it near Dharam village, Kot-Satrah, Daska tehsil.

He said special police investigating teams led by Daska city police SHO Inspector Usman Buttar, Homicide Unit in-charge Inspector Muhammad Akhtar Cheema and Satrah police SHO Sub Inspector Usman Javaid used scientific methods of investigation and traced the suspects in the triple-murder case and arrested them under the supervision of SP (Investigation) Syed Aun Muhammad.

The DSP announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the police parties for arresting the suspects.
