Man suspected of killing friend arrested

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Rahim Yar Khan police claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in a murder case, Express News reported.

Reportedly, Allah Bakhsh, a resident of Basti Ghazi Shah, submitted a complaint at the police station stating that his 16-year-old son Shahab was at his home when his friend Muhammad Waseem came to meet him.

He added that the accused took Shahab to meet others including Muhammad Irfan. The victim’s father maintained after some time they received information that his son had died due to a bullet injury.

Allah Bakhsh mentioned that he investigated the matter on his own after which it became evident that Shahab’s friends Waseem, Irfan and others shot and killed him as they suspected him of having illicit desires for the women of their family.

Police registered a complaint against the culprits and managed to arrest Muhammad Waseem, the key suspect in the incident. Meanwhile, police were conducting raids to arrest the others.

Earlier, a man allegedly gunned down a person whom he suspected of being his wife’s friend in Shah Sadar Din Town, Dera Ghazi Khan.

Police said that Irshad, a resident of Munawarabad, had suspected that his wife M* had illicit relations with a shopkeeper, Sajjad Bhatti.

In a fit of rage, Irshad and his brother Fayyaz Hussain barged into Sajjad’s shop and allegedly opened fire on him killing him on the spot. The accused also opened fire on his wife and injured her.
