Injured cops receive compensation cheques in Punjab

The officers and officials who sustained injuries in the line of duty are real heroes of the nation and valuable asset of the police department, said Inspector General of Police Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi. He was speaking at the compensation award distribution ceremony held at Central Police Office on Friday.

The IGP distributed cheques amounting to Rs8.6 million among 10 officers on behalf of the Punjab government and the police department. He said these heroes will be encouraged as they put their lives in danger while protecting the lives and properties of the public.

DSP Sheikhupura (Ferozwala), Kamran Zaman was given Rs2 million, including Rs1 million from the Punjab government and Rs1 million from the police department. Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad of Sheikhupura district was given Rs1.5 million. Similarly, Constable Mushtaq Ahmad of Sheikhupura district was given Rs1.5 million.
