Two ‘rapists’ held by Faisalabad police

FAISALABAD: The police claimed to have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in sexually assaulting a boy in Faisalabad on Monday.

A police official told Express News that a complaint was registered at Factory Area police station by father of victim K*, a resident of Jhang Road, in which he stated that his 11-year-old son used to go to a seminary in the area to learn Qur’aan.

He added that accused Qari Muhammad Usman and his accomplices Usama and Shehzad had been allegedly sexually abusing his son for the past one month.

He stated that the culprits also filmed the heinous act and threatened the victim of dire consequences if he informed anyone regarding the incident.

The victim’s father maintained that they also acquired the video recording of the shameful act as proof so that it could be submitted in the court. He demanded the authorities to award exemplary punishment to the accused for committing the criminal offence.

On the complaint, the police registered a case under section 377 and arrested two suspects, Qari Usman and Usama who were involved in raping the victim. However, their accomplice Shehzad was still at large. The police said that the accused will be apprehended soon.

Earlier on September 2, police arrested four rapists who sexually assaulted a housewife during a robbery bid in Sialkot. The accused also confessed to raping a wife of a rickshaw driver and mother of three minors. Besides, the culprits also looted Rs25,000 and two cellphones.
