Inspector General of Police Punjab Syed Kaleem Imam has said that martyrs who sacrifice their lives for future of nation are proudable asset of Punjab police and officers of Punjab police are standing with their heirs to pay homage to their determination and courage during beautiful moments of Eid.
He further said that it is prime responsibility of Punjab Police for provision of best Welfare to heirs of martyrs for which all available resources shall be taken preferentially in future. He expressed these views at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh Lahore after performing Eid namaz and visiting martyrs Memorials. IG Punjab laid floral wreath on memorials of martyrs and offered Fateha Khawni for higher ranks of martyrs. He also distributed Eidi among children of personnel and martyrs of Police Lines and attended a huge lunch ceremony with respect to Eid.
IG Punjab was of the opinion that Punjab Police is like a Family whose members share grief and happiness equally and Punjab Police will not waste sacrifices of more than 1400 martyrs. He moreover said that acquisition of education for children of martyrs is indispensable for which all available resources are available from Police Department. He reaffirmed that it is commitment of department to make children of martyrs able and independent and families of martyrs should not consider them alone at any time.
