Police start projects with Turkish help: IG

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Arif Nawaz Khan has said the intelligence system of Punjab Police equipped with modern technology is in accordance with the contemporary age while new projects with the assistance of Turkey and other countries are being started for efficient use of IT technology. He said that Turkish police experts imparted best training to Dolphin Force and Anti-Riot Force Squad. He expressed these views while talking to a three-member delegation from Turkey. Cyber Crime Investigation chief DIG Kareem Altyp, Haci Osman and Talip Can were in the meeting. They discussed enhancement of cooperation in professional and intelligence system.

Punjab Special Branch Additional IG Faisal Shahkar to the IG that, during their visit to Pakistan, the Turkish delegates had met the officers of CTD Headquarters, Special Branch and Safe City Project IC3 and analysed the intelligence and IT system of Punjab Police. He said the Turkish experts would share their suggestions for betterment of the system very soon. The IG hoped that the suggestions by the Turkish experts would be helpful in upgrade of the intelligence system of Punjab Police.
